Personality:
Tsukiyomi can be described as the "light side of the moon." He is a very cheerful and loyal person, especially toward his master. However, he becomes quite serious and calculative when the situation calls for it. He is very protective of the women close to him, including his master. He has a special bond with his master, and one could say he even loves her if possible. He is more...vibrant than most other Servants, but he still has a massive . He hates his sister for forcing him to see that woman oh-so-many years ago, but he also still loves his sister and would protect her if he could.

Although, Tsukiyomi has shown somewhat of a sadistic side during his battles. He is seen to be extremely organized and loathes messiness (especially in his house). He has been noted to be reckless and exceedingly dangerous and bloodthirsty when he uses too much of his power. It is as if the dark side of the moon is truly corrupting him.

  Appearance: This is an odd spear. It has two blades, making it more like a fork, but it is classified as a spear. It is actually two massive spears, made of something like a metallic blood-like solid. The spears are wrapped in a double helix, much like DNA. It is said to be one of the first lances and the double helix represents this.

  Abilities: Tsuki no Yari has no real abilities that affect its power. The only ability it has is the ability to change the length of the twin forks on its size by wrapping the double helix more.

  Appearance: Tsukiin'ei basically makes an armor around Tsukiyomi. It is said to represent the dark side of the moon. It has a black and dark violet color and manifests almost like fire. The armor itself is more like a liquid and a gas at the same time.

  Abilities: The armor is extremely durable. It is hard to break, but not impossible. Ranged weapons, such as arrows and bullets, will be absorbed into the armor and fired back at the same velocity from behind. The armor also allows him to fly and hover to limited extents.

  Abilities: Tsuki no Aneiyari is an extension of Tsukiin'ei, making a large dual lance from the armor. Tsuki no Aneiyari is larger than Tsuki no Yari, but it has two different blades on both sides of the spear. It can be thrown and then disentigrated into pure shadows and then be re-made from the Tsukiin'ei armor. Only one Tsuki no Aneiyari can be made at once. However, it can be split to make two sword-like weapons if needed.
  

History:
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was the second of the "three noble children" born when Izanagi-no-Mikoto, the god who created the first land, Onogoro-shima, was cleansing himself of his sins while bathing himself after escaping the underworld and the clutches of his enraged dead wife, Izanami-no-Mikoto. Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was born when he washed out of Izanagi-no-Mikoto's right eye. However, in an alternate story, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was born from a mirror made of white copper in Izanagi-no-Mikoto's right hand.

After climbing a celestial ladder, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto lived in the heavens, also known as Takamagahara, with his sister Amaterasu Omikami, the sun goddess.

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto angered Amaterasu Omikami when he killed Uke Mochi, the goddess of food. Amaterasu Omikami once sent Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto to represent her at a feast presented by Uke Mochi. The goddess made the food by turning to the ocean and spitting out a fish, then facing the forest and game came out of her anus, and finally turned to a rice paddy and coughed up a bowl of rice. Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was utterly disgusted by the fact that, although it looked exquisite, the meal was made in a disgusting manner, and so he killed her.

Soon, Amaterasu Omikami learned what happened and she was so angry that she refused to ever look at Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto again, forever moving to another part of the sky. This is the reason that day and night are never together.
